Hi, I'm Wilda.

 

Welcome to my evolution. This journey began many years ago when I was trying to figure out the meaning of life. I was studying for my Bachelor's Degree when the youngest of my three brothers was killed. I was only 19 and I lost direction. I couldn't  understand why this happened to such a young and promising human being. Why was I still here? Why did life continue as if nothing had happened? This was the beginning of my evolution. I started reading a lot of self-help books to try to make sense of life and learn how to move on. This led to studying psychology.

I needed to better understand human behavior.

This journey took me to complete a doctoral degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology because of all things, I loved work scenarios. My workplace was my happy place. It helped me focus my thoughts and energy on how to contribute and achieve results. Work was my way of coping with the trauma of losing a loved one. It was my ambition to grow and have an impact through my job. My 25-year working career went from Administrative Assistant to Talent Management Leader of a multinational organization. For the past 19 years, I have worked directly with the Executive Teams of various organizations influencing the implementation of leadership and development programs that promote engagement and healthy work environments.

After 25 years of being employed, I feel accomplished. I have been part of global implementations, regional teams, industry committees, expert panels, helped many leaders move to global roles, many individuals move to leadership roles, and many people develop their skills. I don't know when it stopped being about developing my career and evolved into helping others grow theirs.

 

Since Hurricane Maria, we have been dealing with difficult and serious situations, such as earthquakes and global pandemic. Personally, this has been a period of loss. I went back to 1993 when I lost my brother and my purpose. What helped me at that time was to focus on adding value and contributing through my work. This is why I decided to start Evvolution!

 

I know that not all workplaces are as good as the ones I've worked at. I know that not all employees feel engaged or are encouraged to give their best at work. I know that all of us need to improve our skills and our ability to relate to others effectively. Let's work together! Evvolution applies scientific research and proven methodologies.
